As reactions continue to trail the Monday’s verdict of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja which confirms Gov. Theodore Orji as the authentic governorship candidate of PDP in the April governorship election in Abia State, the member representing Obingwa East in the Abia State House of Assembly, on Prince Onuoha has described the victory for democracy.
According to the law maker, the judgment proves that the Nigeria judiciary is worth its salt. “The judgment has shown that Nigeria judiciary is indeed worthy of confiding in. It has really proved that the court is the last hope of the common man.”
Prince Onuoha who spoke to this publication at Umuahia, the Abia State capital further urged the Abia electorate to vote Gov. Theodore Orji and other PDP candidates in the April general elections for quality representation, noting that the Abia electorate stand to gain immensely f they queue behind Chief Theodore Orji and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.
According to Hon. Onuoha who is also vying to return for the second term, vote for him in the next elections would ensure a more solid and vibrant representation for his people.
“I will use my second term to consolidate on the achievements of my first term, so I am urging my constituents to vote me for the second term,” he posited.
Also reacting to the judgment, the Director General of Nwaogu Iheasimuo Campaign Organisation, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, described the judgment as victory for the Abia electorate.
“ Abians have cause to rejoice over the judgment because of its timeliness. We are very happy for the judgment because it could have upset a lot of things in the polity if it had gone the other way,” he declared.
