Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda said on Thursday that the north is going through tasking periods that could lead the region to disintegrate. But he was quick to add that ”without the region Nigeria will not stand.”
Yuguda made the remark when he received the management of Federal Radio Corporation Nigeria (FRCN), Kaduna Zonal Station led by its Zonal Manager, Alhaji Ladan Salihu, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Bauchi.
He said, “The FRCN must use its vehicle of communication to promote peace and unity in the north. We must show our determination in re-uniting the north and to promote peace because the north is, at the moment, in pieces.
“We have serious challenges in the north. It is a big task on all of us to promote peace and tolerance and everyone must take this seriously. If we don’t do that and the north collapses, posterity will hold us responsible.
“When Gen. Yakubu Gowon came here, I urged him to use the experience he acquired as a Nigerian head of state in uniting the nation especially the north.
“If we don’t have the north, I don’t think Nigeria will stand,” the governor added.
Yuguda also called on Nigerian leaders to emulate the virtues of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, whom he described as a sincere, honest and God-fearing leader.
I wonder if he’s tipsy from burukutu before making such statement.do you want to know a fool? just give him an avenue to express himself.does he know that the monies used to build dams for irrigation, buy seeds and fertilizer comes from the niger delta?which is soon subsidized to farmers in his domain.does he know that his own state internally generated revenue cannot pay it’s workers for a month in a carlender year.does he know that soil in the south are fertile than those of the north which are left fallow?.does he know that the only thing that the north aside from benue produce are people of his calibre?,does he know that the niger delta has granted the north amnesty since 1957 and far longer than that?does he know that without money from this region he would have been an illetrate almajiri?.does he know that when the country disintegrate we could decide to ban any import from there.
That Fulani Man Yagunda
Mr imposed governor of Bauchi State stop killing the the natives. Do not disguise your evil activities to be the work of Boko Hara. What branch of Islam are you? Your Islamic head is full of pride, why. The old northern marchent death for hire in the name of Islam. The guys love power but not Nigeria. Their cup is getting full.
“Why did the northerners failed to develop the northern region despite ruling a rich country like Nigeria for that long?” – Stanley
Stanley from Liberia, the north is the more developed part of nigeria. Have you been to the north before? You guys accept any lies these people dish out. Puzzling.
When you hear this types of people talking so loose then you get the clue why Nigeria is the enemy, in fact Nigeria which’s of course a Western arrangement is more or less a chain on our necks. This chain is been crafted this way since it’s said that slavery is no longer (universally) accepted in the open for various reasons – so ours’ is part of the systemic way of perpetuating this evil mechanization. The only good event in 2012 is when there is no more Nigeria – when this chain is permanently removed then we’ll return to our natural setting! Think about the fact that Nigeria is not only a chain gripping our necks together but a disease – a threatening cancerous disease indeed. We need to stop this cancer from spreading further and one way we can do that is go after those benefiting from this terrible disease within ourselves (whether they’re our tribal person or not, let them know enough is enough) by cutting off their networks of cartel because they are the ones doing everything to sustain this disease and until they are contain this deadly disease would continue to spread among this large number of African population.
If Nigeria cannot stand without the North, why is northern Nigeria, the poorest region in Nigeria? I have read that northerners ruled Nigeria from 1966-1999 after the genocide. Why did the northerners failed to develop the northern region despite ruling a rich country like Nigeria for that long?
I also read that the southern Nigerians were the true nationalists, who fought for independence of Nigeria, and that the northerners wanted to delay Nigerian independence for 10 years, meaning that Nigeria would have gained independence from Britain in 1970 and not in 1960.
Let the northerners educate their people first, before it is too late. Once Nigeria distingrate, the north will become a war zone. General Gowon is not a northern. Gowon is deceiving himself.
Why did’t yuguda tell us why nigeria cannot stand without the north, and if the north can stand without the niger delta, and what the north is contributing to nigeria. It’s unfortunate that people like this person are selected rule some people even as they are birds of the same feather
